Scenes of the resurrection of people from the dead are found in Sumero-Akkadian mythology, and in later legends and myths they have become truly massive. This was largely due to the natural cycles of the seasons, when in winter the nature froze, and in the spring it bloomed with new colors. In a literal translation from the ancient Greek language, resurrection means "restoration", and in the Christian religion this has become the main dogma. We turn to the main holy book of Christians, and present examples of the resurrection from the dead described in the Bible.

Sarepta widow. The wonders of Elijah
The Third Book of Kingdoms describes the miracles that Elijah performed in the house of a woman from the Mediterranean town of Sarepta. The prophet found himself in the widow's house when he was fleeing from hunger, which suddenly hit his native country.
She sheltered the wanderer, and in gratitude for the warmth and care he made so that the food in the woman’s house never ended.
The second miracle amazed and delighted the woman even more. As a result of the illness, her son died, and the widow cursed Elijah, accusing him of the death of her son. Elijah picked him up, turned to God with a prayer, and after that the boy was resurrected.

The resurrection of the daughter of Jairus
The legend of how Jesus resurrected the daughter of the chief of the synagogue named Jairus is contained in the three Gospels. The most complete version passes Mark.
When Jesus was preaching, a man turned to him and told him that his daughter was dying. Christ followed him, and began to speak with the girl. The people in turmoil reproached him that the girl had died.
Then Jesus entered the house of the ruler of the synagogue, where the deceased girl was already mourned. At the same time, he ordered everyone to stay outside, taking with them only James, John and Peter. Christ took the girl by the hand, and she came to life.

Sonamite and the Prophet Elisha
Another biblical story in which a woman from the city of Sonama gave shelter to the prophet. She was rich and childless, and the source indicates only her toponymic nickname, without a name.
Elisha foretold her the birth of a son. When the boy of the happy woman grew up, he began to help his father in the field. One day he felt unwell, and died on his mother’s lap.
The grief-stricken Sonamite turned to Elisha. He locked himself in the house with the body of a boy, warmed him with the warmth of his body, and said a prayer. After that, the boy came to life, and the prophet returned to his mother.

Jesus raised the widow's son at the gates of Nain
This plot is contained only in the Gospel of Luke, where he reports on Jesus' miraculous resurrection of the youth.
Jesus went with the disciples and the crowd of people following him to the city of Nain. A funeral procession came out of the city gates to meet them. The only son of a woman who recently buried her husband was buried.
Jesus stopped the procession, went to the stretcher, on which lay the body of the young man, and with the words: “Young man, stand!” touched the body of the deceased. The boy came to life, and his mother and all who were close by began to rejoice and glorify Jesus. The news of the miraculous resurrection quickly spread throughout the neighborhood.

In Joppa, a woman of Tabith lived, who cared for the poor and helped the afflicted. In the days when Peter was in Joppa, she fell ill and died.
People, having learned that Peter was not far away, immediately sent for him to come to the house of Tabitha. Entering the house, he saw that a woman was lying on her deathbed, and widows and brothers gathered around.
He ordered everyone to leave the room, and he knelt down and prayed. After this, Peter said to the woman: "Get up!". Tabitha rose and looked at the prophet. Brothers and widows entered, and the woman appeared before them alive.

The Resurrection of Eutych by the Apostle Paul
In Troas, a young man named Eutih fell out of a window and crashed to death. The assembled residents realized that this was not a swoon, namely death.
Pavel went up to the fallen youth, and to the amazement of the assembled people, lay down on him. Paul hugged him, and told people that the soul of the youth is still in the body. The apostle did not say a word to the young man, but Eutychus began to show signs of life.
After that, for almost a day Paul talked with the assembled residents, and the resurrected young man was taken to the house, after the apostle left the city.

Summarize
Biblical subjects migrated to later Christian books, somewhere completely copying them, and somewhere supplementing with new elements. For example, the “Holy Tradition” mentions more than 40 cases of the resurrection of people carried out by the disciples of Christ.
